IHEE delegation from France visited TTÜ
On May 18, a high-level French delegation from IHEE (l'Institut des Hautes Etudes de l'Entreprise) visited Tallinn University of Technology. The central research focus of IHEE is the change of organizations in the digital and globalized world.
The delegation included representatives of the French media publications (Le Monde, Le Parisien, Challenge), companies (IBM, BNP Paribas, Orange, Carrefour), public sector (various ministries), as well as universities and various associations.
Welcoming words were given by Gert Jervan, Dean of the School of Information Technologies. The presentations were made by Erkki Karo, Dean of Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance, professor Peter Ross, Department of Health Technologies, Jaan Priisalu, Early Stage Researcher at the Department of Software Science, and professor Yannick Le Moullec, Thomas Johann Seebeck Department of Electronics.
In addition, the visitors learned about Mektory’s innovative ecosystem of and startup success stories. Regarding the latter, an overview was given by Madis Uuemaa, representing Smart Load Solutions and Jüri Bogatkin, representing Fusion Pedal.
This visit to Estonia was initiated in February 2017, when Tallinn University signed a cooperation agreement with MEDEF, the largest umbrella organization uniting the French companies. Under the agreement the parties were to deepen business cooperation between countries in research development, digitalization, as well as startup entrepreneurship.
